Princeton, NJ Apartment Rent Changes — September 18, 2026

· The rentprice Team

Princeton apartment rents saw slight downward movement on September 18, with two floorplans cutting prices across separate communities.

Avalon Princeton on Harrison posted the larger shift, dropping its 1-bedroom unit (001-106) from $2,875 to $2,800—a $75 decrease or 2.6%. The 725-square-foot floorplan now sits at the lower end of recent asking prices for one-bedroom stock in the area.

Woodmont Way at West Windsor made a minimal adjustment to its 2-bedroom Amethyst model, reducing rent by just $5 to $3,695. While marginal, the move reflects the modest pricing pressure that can appear across newer inventory even in stable markets.

What moved today

Both declines appeared in newer or recently updated communities rather than older stock, suggesting competitive positioning among recently delivered units. The price drops were not matched by any increases elsewhere in tracked inventory.

Market context

With only two floorplans adjusting—and both downward—the update shows limited volatility for the day. Renters shopping in Princeton should monitor whether these cuts reflect broader market softness or routine inventory management by individual properties.
