· The rentprice Team

Princeton apartment rents moved in opposite directions on August 21, 2026. Across nine floorplan listings at two communities, seven units dropped in price while two rose.

Avalon Princeton on Harrison saw the most activity, with five price cuts balanced against two gains. Studio units fell the hardest: one declined 2.6% to $2,420, another dropped 1.8% to $2,725, and a third fell 2.0% to $2,300. One-bedroom units split: a 763-sqft unit jumped 3.9% to $2,800, while another 1-bed slipped 1.0% to $2,772. A second 1-bed gained 1.5% to $3,005.

Woodmont Way at West Windsor all moved lower. The 2-bed Amethyst plan fell 1.9% to $3,780 (1,415 sqft), while the slightly smaller Quartz unit dropped 1.5% to $3,520 (1,310 sqft). The larger Onyx plan also declined 1.5% to $3,670 (1,515 sqft).

Overall, price cuts ranged from $29 to $75 per month, while gains were $45 and $105. The net direction suggests modest softening in the market, though the small sample of units means daily changes can reflect individual lease timing or seasonal adjustments rather than broader trend shifts.
